Election Real Count: Jokowi Temporarily Prevails with 55.83 pct

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Election Commission (KPU)’s vote counting information system website (Situng) as of Thursday, April 25, at 08:30 Jakarta time showed Jokowi - Ma’ruf Amin ticket is still leading in the 2019 presidential election. The real count came from 32.54 percent of incoming votes.
Based on pemilu2019.kpu.go.id, the incumbent gained 55.85 percent while the opposition Prabowo - Sandiaga trailed with 44.15 percent. The count was obtained from 264,666 polling stations (TPS) out of the total 813,350 available in Indonesia and abroad.
In Bali province, Jokowi - Ma’ruf collected 1,229,078 votes, far ahead of the rival’s 93,637 votes. This contrast to the vote count in West Nusa Tenggara province wherein the candidate number 01 got 283,070 votes and the candidate number 02 earned 629,499 votes. In East Nusa Tenggara, meanwhile, the incumbent got 846,781 votes, while Prabowo - Sandiaga got 109,864 votes.
The KPU chairman Arief Budiman explained Situng represented the tabulation of C1 vote tally forms collected from each polling stations. The final vote recapitulation is planned to be announced on May 22, 2019.
